Hot Topics Perth Postponed

Regretfully the Medcast board has made the decision to postpone the face to face course this coming weekend based on the uncertainty around COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We have made this decision in line with a number of other health education providers, Colleges and organisers of other events which bring large numbers of people together. After careful consideration, we feel that it is prudent that we mitigate the consequences which illness or quarantine of delegates might have on local health services if delegates were potentially exposed to the virus at the event. This is particularly so in the case of GPs and other primary care professionals.

We would like to ask you for your understanding and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We are passionate about Hot Topics and want to make sure that you have access to the great course that you have supported by enrolling. To this end, we are offering you a range of options to stay up-to-date with your ongoing professional development obligations.

Option 1: Live Webinar Series (AWST)

We will be running a special webinar event as a 4-part, live webinar series for delegates of the postponed Hot Topics GP Update Course (Special Event Webinar). The Special Event Webinars will commence Saturday 14th March at 9am (AWST), for 90 minutes with Hot Topics Session 1. This will be followed by 3 x 90 minute webinars on consecutive Wednesday evenings at 7 PM AWST.

In short the webinars will be held on:

• 9am (AWST) Saturday 14th March
• 7pm (AWST) Wednesday 18th March
• 7pm (AWST) Wednesday 25th March and
• 7pm (AWST) Wednesday 1st April.

Regular Webinar Series (AEST)

Option 2: Face-to-Face (Rescheduled Hot Topics Course)

In addition, we intend to reschedule the Perth face-to-face Hot Topics GP Update Course (Rescheduled Hot Topics Course). Subject to any ongoing risk posed by the Coronavirus and advice in effect at the time, we anticipate that the Rescheduled Hot Topics Course will take place in late 2020. You will be notified when we have confirmed the alternative date, and if you would like to attend, we will transfer your booking to this event free of charge. Later this year, we will also be releasing new Hot Topics content so if you choose to attend the Rescheduled Hot Topics Course you will be getting a double dose of Hot Topics in 2020.

Option 3: Both (A combination of Options 1 & 2)
