Module 5: Using e-MH - Coaching the Patient Using e-Mental Health

This self-paced online learning module is the fifth installment in a 6-part series on e-Mental Health.

Module overview

This module explores the involvement of the GP as coach for patients using eMH self-help programs.  We will also look at the online programs that provide coaching as an integral part of program use.

At the conclusion of this module participants will be able to:

• Understand the concept of coaching a patient who is using an eMH self-help program.
• Be able to describe the ways in which they as a GP could be involved as a coach with a patient using an eMH self-help program.
• Be able to describe the way in which a virtual clinic functions in coaching a patient through an online program.

CPD Information

The activity is accredited by RACGP and ACRRM. Completion of the full ALM/activity (full 6-part series) will provide RACGP ALM 40 Cat 1 QI&CPD points and/or ACRRM 30 PRPD points. Completion of individual modules will provide RACGP Cat 2 QI&CPD points and pro-rata ACRRM points.
