Eczema Workshop in a Box: overcoming challenges in management

Overview

This self-led session has been designed specifically for GP’s to run in their practice. This session aims to get you and your peers comfortable with the more challenging aspects of Eczema cases. Managing eczema involves a multifaceted approach; thorough examination and history taking, tailoring treatments to the individual, and managing patient expectations.

Learning Objectives

• Address the psychosocial impact and burden of eczema on patients and families.
• Discuss with the patient and carers common triggers and self management strategies to improve outcomes.
• Identify individual concerns and address myths and misconceptions associated with topical corticosteroid use.
• Agree on and implement a person centred action plan to improve eczema management.
