ThisWayUpClinic courses for anxiety and depressive disorders are very powerful – but there is no magic. People learn and apply what they have learnt and make small gains, and continue doing this until they are better. See what the people doing the courses say:
1. It’s an extra hard one for our family this year as we lost my father and is still hard to believe he's not with us anymore. But, I can deal with that now. The program has been invaluable in me gaining perspective and developing skills and tools that I now have forever to get on top of my depression.
2. Well I had my first 'setback' this week going back to work after a week off. Then got into work and was told, within the first half hour, that three of my staff were off. I got really anxious. I felt like crying, screaming, breath and heart was racing but, this time I quickly calmed down and worked out that all those symptoms and feelings were okay, and that I have handled it before, and will again! This course has been hugely helpful for me. Thanks and good luck to all!
3. I too have made progress with this program. I think it ticks the right boxes for treatment. I am certainly socialising more. I want to thank the team for the opportunity. Good luck to you all!
4. My wife wanted me to go away on holidays with her for a few days. This is easy for her but I had to put my business on hold. Stress, stress, stress! No mobile or email for the duration of trip. You have to be joking - what if the kids need me, what if there's an emergency? I survived, the business survived and my daughter wasn't imprisoned in a Thai jail.
5. Such big issues every lesson! The information and suggestions are helping to break things down and I have to keep reminding myself that this is just stage one of 'recovery' and changing habits etc. that I don't have to be completely reformed within the time frame of the course!

Do you know anyone who has difficulty motivating themselves to exercise? I think we all know people who get too depressed to exercise or too anxious to leave the house. But there are other people who, despite a lack of “diagnosis”, find exercise hugely difficult to contemplate.
