Webinar About Perinatal Mental Health and Wellbeing

11 October 2016 - Dr Jan Ormans

Black Dog Institute’s has produced an eMHPrac webinar on Perinatal Wellbeing.

Professor Jane Fisher and Fiona Darling from the Jean Hailes Unit for Women’s Health at Monash University were the guests, along with Dr Vered Gordon, a Sydney GP with a special interest in mental health and especially perinatal mood disorders. In the webinar we discuss the impact of perinatal distress on women, their babies, their relationships and their wider families. We look at ways in which online tools can be used to prevent, detect and treat distress in the perinatal period.

The recording of the webinar is available to be watched on-demand here.

For more information you might like to take a look at the Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA) website. It’s full of practical, useful information as well as carer stories and moderated forums for patients and carers.
