Juliette Thomson from the Butterfly Foundation has provided with some information about some of the services they offer for Patients suffering from eating disorders:
“The Butterfly Foundation’s National Helpline for eating disorders and body image is an important resource for those experiencing eating issues, their loved ones and treating health professionals. The Helpline can be an invaluable contact point whether it be an individual with an eating disorder who needs some extra support between treatment sessions, a carer who would like more information about what might be happening for their child or partner, or sufferer or health professional seeking referrals to specialised eating disorder practitioners.
And a reminder from me about the terrific eating disorder-related resources available from the Centre for Clinical Interventions. The site includes a set of modular resources for use by patients on their own or with the help of their practitioners. It includes modules about improving assertiveness, overcoming body dysmorphia and overcoming disordered eating. There are many consumer resources.
While your there have a look at the great resources for GPs on mental health topics.
